Description
This dataset contains WSI from biopsy and surgical resection samples taken from patients diagnosed with various cancers that have metastasized to the lung. The dataset includes images and metadata related to the lung metastasis from various cancer types including mainly adenocarcinomas, ductal adenocarcinomas, squamous cell carcinomas, urothelial carcinomas, adenoid cystic carcinomas, endometrioid carcinomas, clear cell carcinomas, cholangiocarcinomas, papillary carcinomas, melanomas, various types of sarcomas and other rare cancer types. These cancers originate mainly from the gastro-intestinal tract, breast, kidney, skin, liver, uterus, bladder, soft tissues, bone etc. The images may display both the tumor areas and the normal / tumor-free surrounding tissue. H&E, chemical and immunohistochemistry stainings are included. The metadata contains pathology information extracted from the original pathology reports, including the histologic type of the tumor and the primary site it originates from.
