Description
This dataset provides broad coverage and could serve as a valuable resource for developing foundation models. It consists of whole-slide images (WSIs) derived from lung biopsies, surgical resections, and explant lung specimens. It includes both image data and accompanying metadata representing normal lung tissue, subnormal tissue, and a spectrum of non-neoplastic lung conditions (including interstitial, inflammatory, fibrous, infectious, reactive, emphysematous and hamartomatous processes). All cases were retrieved from the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and span the years 2015-2026. Individual WSIs may contain regions with pathological abnormalities as well as normal or lesion-free tissue. There are no annotations.The dataset includes slides stained with hematoxylin and eosin (H&E), chemical stains, and, when available, immunohistochemical (IHC) markers. Metadata incorporates basic pathology-related information extracted from the original diagnostic pathology reports.
